ABOUT MIRAGENE

Miragene Inc. (the "Company") was formed in November 2000, as result of the acquisition of Miragen, Inc. and its patented technology.  The Company recognized a unique opportunity to further develop the technology by converting it onto a state-of-the-art protein microarray platform.  The Company owns two issued patents and has since filed ten new provisional patent applications.  The original patents were the result of more than ten years of research in the field of autoimmune disease at Scripps Research Institute, Salk Research Institute and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.  The new patents are based on protein microarray technology and include the chips, chemistries and detection systems developed by Miragene since it was established.
